Food! Glorious Food!

“Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what’s for lunch.”
–Orson Welles

It looks like 50% of our holiday pictures were taken around the dinner table.

Max’s, Port, Golden Cowrie, Marco Polo, Mall of Asia, Chikaan, Italianni’s, Krua Thai, Dulcinea, home… What’s a better way to enjoy each other’s company than at meal time? Never mind the calories…. Hehehe…

now i know where my dozen added pounds came from…ugh! my mouth was watering looking at the pics…my heart was yearning to go back home….

Oh so jealous! How I miss eating out in the Philippines. Its just not the same here! Hubby is going to the PI in February without me, and he will actually stop in Cebu to visit his sis. I told him to eat double (for me!).

Dozen pounds? Lang? Hahaha! Balik na ulit!

If your hubs swings by Cebu, there are a a lot of places to try out: Golden Cowrie (native seafood), Ginza (Japanese), Grand Convention (Chinese), Marco Polo (continental), Abuhan (bulalo :)) etc…. I’m sure your SIL would take hubs to the best eating places in Cebu. 😀

oh my, my ultimate favorite: Max’s! whenever we’d come home, a table-full of Max’s delights awaits us from the airport. that or we head straight to their restaurant. the spring chicken is calling my name…

Nothing beats Max’s. That was one of the restos my brother and SIL from Canada really requested to revisit.

They don’t say Max is “sarap to the bones” for nothing. 😀

Hi Linnor, Ang sasarap naman – There is a Max’s near us but the spring chicken is not as good.

Max’s! I’m craving for their chicken. Makapag-lunch nga don ngayon 🙂

Yes. It is usually on the dining table that the best exchange of pleasantries, fellowships, giving bits of advice and the like, take place. Yes?

Even Jesus Himself had to invite His apostles to have His last supper with them. On many occasions, He also dined with Zaccheus, the notorious Tax Collector (but later became a convert after enjoying a pleasant talk with Him), dining and spending the night with His two disciples from Emmaus, among others.

Let’s have more of this kiddos till you grumble or protest for spending too much for us! 🙂

Aw, sayang… Dito naman they’ve tasted the same all these years… Sarap 😀

Natuloy ba ang Max lunch?

At the dinner table is where we usually let our hair down and get candid with each other. Looking forward to the next time we do get together as a family. Hopefully really soon.
